Moonbat du jour: Jonathon Porritt and the two children rule

Written by Paul Zannucci on 9:54 AM

From TimesOnline: "Couples who have more than two children are being 'irresponsible' by creating an unbearable burden on the environment, (warns) the government’s green adviser,"
Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government’s Sustainable Development Commission.

Given that the population renewal figure is above 2 children per couple, I begin to wonder whether the final goal of the secular/green movement is not, in fact, the total eradication of our species. After all most of Europe is already experiencing a population decline from low birthrates, so why issue a grave warning against babies now?

According to reports cited by this article from The New York Times, the birthrate over many parts of Europe is now in the extinction rate, at around 1.3 babies per couple. At this pace, populations in Europe could be halved in less than 50 years.

Here's to you, Jonathon Porritt; man of genius and moonbat du jour.
