Moonbat du Ecouter - Barack Obama

Written by Paul Zannucci on 1:09 PM

Obama is a moonbat for all seasons, but one thing that conservatives, and everyone interested in true liberty, must be prepared to keep an eye on is how Moonbat Obama ends up handling the question of the census. What is at stake here is a massive raping of the electoral college and congressional districting.

The debate is whether to actually count people or to estimate them. Guess who wants to estimate them? If you are thinking maybe it's the same party that can always find lots of extra votes during recounts, you would be correct.

Moonbat Obama has threatened, and then retracted, to bring the conducting of the U.S. Census into the purview of the White House. But the issue is still up in the air, and it looks right now like Rahm Emanuel will be able to bring leftist pressure to bear and stack the deck against dissenting political thought for some time to come.

Moonbat du Jour: Roland Burris

Written by Paul Zannucci on 8:36 AM

It's never a shocking thing to learn that a Demwit has an issue with the truth. After all, without populist lies, scare mongering and half-truths, there would be no Demwits. But this one actually surprises me just a tiny bit: that newly minted Illinois Senator Roland Burris helped to raise money for Rod Blogojevich and probably perjured himself before the state House panel.

I actually felt a little sorry for this clown, who seemed to have been caught between an idiot and a moron after being appointed by Blogojevich and challenged by Harry Reid. Now, according to an article from Bloomberg.com, an Illinois prosecutor is reviewing Burris's statements before the panel, and his chances of winning the Demwit nomination are slim.

When did lying and perjury become an issue for Demwits? They must really dislike this guy, which almost disqualifies him for Moonbat Du Jour--almost, but not quite.

So here's to you, Roland Burris, you are the one zebra in the herd that gets dragged down by the lion, the liar amongst liars, the bottom of the Demwit food chain. You are the Moonbat du Jour.

Moonbat du Jour: Hilda Solis, Labor Secretary

Written by Paul Zannucci on 10:24 AM

Article to read: FrontPageMag.com, A Leftist in Labor

Hilda Solis was actually a fantastic choice for Labor Secretary. Who better to embody the Demwit notion of "Labor" than someone who is deeply committed to the "green" wealth redistribution platform? Who better to embody the Demwit notion of "Labor" than someone who is openly friendly to American communist and socialist organizations?

From the article: A Congresswoman since 2001, Solis is a member of the Progressive Caucus, the socialist wing of the Democrat Party in the House of Representatives. The Caucus was founded by the self-identified Socialist and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders—himself a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, which describes itself as “the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International.” The Progressive Caucus laments that “the concentration of wealth is a problem because it distorts our democracy, destabilizes the economy and erodes our social and cultural fabric,” a crisis for which it advocates “a package of legislative initiatives that will close America’s economic divide and address both income and wealth disparities.” In other words, Hilda Solis wants to spread the wealth around. And her lifelong record bears it out.

This is, after all, what Demwits are now all about. The Democratic Party has become the de facto American socialist party, and Obama's selection for Labor Secretary, Hilda Solis, is a perfect example of that.

So here's to you, Hilda baby, you are the Moonbad du Jour.

Moonbat Du Jour: Patrick Leahy and the Truth Commission

Written by Paul Zannucci on 4:50 PM

As a reference, one can read the above article from FrontPageMag.com regarding the desire of Patrick Leahy and some other Demwits in Congress to form a "Truth Commission" to investigate the Bush administration. Leahy, as usual, has only one thing in mind...and still no one has figured out what that is, but he has a long history of violating America's private parts and putting the country and its agents in danger. At risk here is America's most sensitive anti-terrorist data...

He has a long history of exposing the most vital secrets of our nation. At least one operative was murdered after Leahy publicly leaked a 1985 intercept that had enabled the capture of the Achille Lauro terrorists. After Leahy leaked a 1986 covert operation to topple Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddhafi, it was necessarily canceled. But for that, in other words, 270 victims of Libya's Pan Am 103 bombing over Lockerbie Scotland might still be alive.

Finally in January 1987, Leahy was forced to resign as vice-chair of the Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence after leaking classified information on the Iran-Contra affair. Not surprisingly, after 9/11, the FBI investigated national security leaks from Congress, specifically House and Senate Select Intelligence committee leaks.

So here's to you, Demwit Leahy. You are not only the Moonbat Du Jour, but a danger to the free world. Pretty impressive for one old lunatic, huh?

Moonbat Du Jour(s): Congress

Written by Paul Zannucci on 1:10 PM

Okay, I'll try not to make a habit of lumping vast sums of moonbats together, but this deserves it. Both the House and the Senate have managed to pass their own versions of a stimulus package, and trying to determine which is better would be like the Underwriters Laboratories detonating various nuclear devices to gauge how consumer-safe they are. Or Consumer Reports rating poisons by taste, consistency and overall value. You get the point.

Quick note to politicians: a healthy free market economy is, to make it very simple for any Demwits who may be reading, consumer cash flow creating a natural supply and demand. Government spending, though well thought of by many economists, is a poor substitute for real economic activity. Here's a brief list of why:

1) The U.S. GDP is $77 trillion. Any fiscally responsible increase in government spending can only be a mere drop in the bucket of what needs to be happening.

2) Government spending, particularly in the form of useless pork projects, which is what these stimulus packages are, creates a very false economic situation. Gone is the natural, consumer-based supply and demand, replaced by a system of almost random spending. Will jobs created by pork be sustainable? Many will not be because the demand is artificial. The only benefit will be that the lucky few who get money thrown at them will probably run out and spend it or invest it in the stock market.

Any real stimulus package should have been based on getting businesses and consumers more cash. Lowering business taxes, mortgage interest rates, income taxes, death taxes, capital gains taxes, etc.

What did we get instead? Theft. We've redistributed the money of generations to come, and we've done it in the worst possible way--politically, essentially cash payments for favors past and present.

So here's to you, Congress. You are the Moonbats Du Jour.

Moonbat Du Jour: People's Republic of Denver

Written by Anonymous on 6:49 PM

Liberalism has wussified and californicated the once proud and brave frontier town of Denver. The effete metrosexuals have reduced the city to to a shivering, piddling down its leg inbred toy dog cowering at the foot of the Rockies. Buffalo Bill is rolling over in his grave.

AURORA A Cherokee Trail High School senior who had a ROTC-style drill team rifle in the back of her car has been suspended from school and will face expulsion, officials said.

Marie Morrow, 17, a member of the Douglas County Young Marines, said she brought a wood and duct tape reproduction of a rifle to school Thursday in preparation for drill team practice. When the rifle was spotted in the back of her car by other students, she said, school administrators suspended her for 10 days pending an expulsion hearing.

The little liberal pot smokers who tore the McCain bumper stickers off of Marie's car were scared when they saw the drill rifles, so following their socialist indoctrination to the letter, they rushed to tell their liberal overseers.

This is not about protecting kids. It's about conditioning them to have an adverse Pavlovian response to firearms. Schools have failed at teaching our kids math and science, but they've sure got the social indoctrination down.

Moonbat(s) Du Jour: Tennessee GOP

Written by Paul Zannucci on 3:34 PM

Three times in this decade Republicans have won enough seats to take control of the state's House and Senate legislative bodies. They were successful only once thanks to Demwit shenanigans and complicit Republican morons.

It is common knowledge, or so they would have you believe, that the Tennessee GOP is a shining conservative example of how a party should run. After all, while Republicans were taking a beat down just about all over America in the last two election cycles, the Tennessee GOP has raised its hands into the air and declared, "Our organization has been blessed by God!" What they failed to mention was that the god was actually Koalemos, the Greek god of stupidity and foolishness.

First of all, the Tennessee populace has become progressively more conservative since the 1994 Contract with America. At that time, Al Gore (gulp) and Jim Sasser were Tennessee's Senators, Demwits, both. 1994 saw the election of Bill Frist and Fred Thompson, and the state has moved gradually right ever since. So the idea that the GOP has some magical process that could be emulated by the party all across American is little more than a sad joke. They win because they aren't wild-eyed liberals despite their overwhelming incompetence.

In 2004, the state elected more Republicans than Demwits to the Senate for the first time in decades. At last Republicans were going to control the state senate. Right? Wrong. At the election to seat the new Speaker of the Senate, several Republicans joined Democrats in voting for the old speaker, Demwit John S. Wilder. Their excuse was that they felt a sense of loyalty to Wilder and so gave Democrats control of the Senate yet again. With more elections in 2006, the situation was finally rectified as some who had betrayed the decisions of the voters were replaced and more Republicans were elected. Finally, the Republicans really did gain control.

Then comes an equally amazing story. Republicans win more seats in the state House and gain an edge by one vote over the Demwits. Again, Republicans have a chance to grab control of a state house for the first time in decades, yet they fail again. How is this possible?

Republicans decided to nominate House Majority Leader Jason Mumpower to serve as speaker. The Demwits (maybe the wrong party is being called Demwits here) made a deal with sociopathic representative Kent Williams of Elizabethton, who couldn't care less about his constituents or the desires of the state voters so long as there something in it for him. The Demwits nominated Williams, and he ended up casting the deciding vote for himself. The GOP is so mad that they are in the process of ejecting, quite rightly, Mr. Williams from the party. Hopefully the voters of Elizabethton will vote him out of office during the next election.

And so once again the voters of the state of Tennessee must wait another two years for another election before they can grab control of a legislative branch that we thought we had already won. Barely a day goes by that the TN GOP doesn't call my house looking for contributions. Fortunately I have caller ID. It will be awhile before I answer that call.

Moonbat Du Jour: Jeffrey Immelt

Written by Paul Zannucci on 11:04 AM

Hot off of making NBC and MSNBC the official propaganda wings of the Obama campaign, GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt has now been named to Barack Obama's economic advisory board, along with such eminent individuals as Anna Burger, the head of the semi-communist American labor movement, Change to Win.

So what kind of advice can Immelt offer to comrade Obama?

1) Obama wants to open dialogues with Iran, and Immelt certainly has ties there. GE has been doing business in Iran for years, even helping to support Iranian terrorist activity in Iraq.

2) GE helped to pioneer and bankroll some of the more ridiculous mortgage guidelines that led to the current mortgage crisis. No one was out in front of GE in the reverse equity mortgage business back at the turn of the century, as they were at one time offering homeowners ways of getting 100 percent mortgages with a side order of HELOC.

3) GE exacerbated this mortgage mismanagement by insuring other mortgage companies and encouraging this bad banking behavior. In the end, GE managed to get a $140 billion bail out to stay in business.

Immelt and Obama seem a couple made in heaven, which makes Jeffy the Moonbat Du Jour.

Moonbat Du Jour: President Obama's Faith Based Community Organizing

Written by Anonymous on 8:19 PM

Hey all you religious zealots who thought President Bush's Office Of Faith Based Initiatives was a good idea:

President Obama's social kommissars have
hijacked the joint. Oh, the name won't change; they need the religious cover. Plaster a cross on the community organizin' and it's all good!

The Obama approach will keep the basic structure that the Bush administration took. There will be a White House-based office and Centers for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships in the executive agencies.

White House officials and outside advisors say that Obama's effort will be broader than his predecessor's and he will expand the scope of the office to include more emphasis on community organizations and a greater coordination with policymakers.

It's not all good. It's all bad. I said it then and I'll say it again. It was bad when Bush did it and it's bad now that Obama is doing it.

A religion can only sully itself by contact with the government. Jefferson's separation of Church and State goes both ways. Everybody worries about the US becoming an Evangelical theocracy when what they really should be worrying over is government's grubby mitts corrupting and besmudging religion.

First Amendment notwithstanding, government may prohibit the free exercise of a religious organization that voluntarily enters into a lawful agreement with it. That money has strings attached. That is why I am opposed to my religious organization taking any federal funds.

The Mormon's, God bless 'em, have the good sense to stay away from this nonsense.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has operated an "effective welfare and humanitarian program for more than 60 years without government funding," spokesman Scott Trotter said Wednesday, signaling the church also is unlikely ever to accept federal money under Obama's initiatives.

That stance continues the approach taken by the church in 2001, when President Bush created the first faith-based initiative.

"We like to do [our welfare projects] on our own," the late President Gordon B. Hinckley said at the time. "Once the government is involved, regulations follow."

Here's a libertarian lesson for social conservatives who don't mind hijacking government for their own social causes. It doesn't look so good when the other side does it, does it?

The only honest answer to all this is to get government out of all extra-constitutional activities, including buying off and co-opting religious organizations.

Moonbat du jour: Tom Daschle, Obama's Secretary of Health and Human Services (updated)

Written by Paul Zannucci on 8:43 AM

The Obama administration keeps working its special brand of green change, recycling all the old losers and their losing ideas.

I will forever remember the night that the good folks of the state of South Dakota sent the country a present and ousted Tom Daschle from the Senate. The only problem is that he never went home, and now that the Obama administration is on its knees regurgitating yesterday's change into the porcelain at the White House, we are going to get to see much more of him, or are we?

The news surrounding Daschle over the last few days has been inspiring--well, to me anyway. I mean, first we find out that he's brought in over $5 million from the health care companies he is supposed to reform. And now we learn that Mr. Daschle, who works for the political party that toils tirelessly to make certain that the old adage about nothing in life being free is true, didn't realize that he had to pay taxes on his free car and chauffeur, about $128,000 in taxes worth.
Elitism: not just a state of mind but also a tax liability.

But don't worry about any morality issues here. Daschle was just too stupid to pay. After being selected by Obama and having his tax shortcomings pointed out to him, Daschle started paying for all that old stuff, having made a tax payment of $140,000 and saying that he probably owes more, according to a report from the New York Times.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could prosecute these crooks for tax evasion?

It's the ultimate irony when a tax-and-spend liberal "forgets" to pay his taxes or claims, as Daschle does, that he just didn't know that he owed taxes for such a thing. So here's to you, Tom Daschle; you are the moonbat du jour.
(update: tax scientist Tom has withdrawn his name. I still believe the next step should be formal charges. We got Al Capone for tax evasion, right?)

Moonbat du jour: Jonathon Porritt and the two children rule

Written by Paul Zannucci on 9:54 AM

From TimesOnline: "Couples who have more than two children are being 'irresponsible' by creating an unbearable burden on the environment, (warns) the government’s green adviser,"
Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government’s Sustainable Development Commission.

Given that the population renewal figure is above 2 children per couple, I begin to wonder whether the final goal of the secular/green movement is not, in fact, the total eradication of our species. After all most of Europe is already experiencing a population decline from low birthrates, so why issue a grave warning against babies now?

According to reports cited by this article from The New York Times, the birthrate over many parts of Europe is now in the extinction rate, at around 1.3 babies per couple. At this pace, populations in Europe could be halved in less than 50 years.

Here's to you, Jonathon Porritt; man of genius and moonbat du jour.
